Pricing for my session is split into two parts: session fee and products. My session fee is $190 and that covers the entire makeover and photoshoot for two people. When you come back to my studio to look at your images, you will only select the ones you love. My images start at $200 and go up from there. Some people spend $400 and some spend $4,000… what you buy is entirely up to you, but you won’t make that decision until you’re looking at them. Once we take your portraits, if you love them you’re going to want them. My job is to take photographs of you that you will love so you’ll want them all!

Before your session

Good planning is the only way to ensure a successful portrait session. I make it easy with a personal consultation in my studio. Our pre-session get-together gives us a chance to get acquainted and coordinate the details, timing, and location of your photoshoot. It’s an ideal time to discuss your goals, personal style, wardrobe, how you want to be photographed, who you want to be photographed with, how you plan to display your portraits in your home and share them with those you love. For inspiration, I like to show samples from my favorite sessions: actual physical items like handcrafted albums and folio boxes, wall prints and frames. I want to give you a true sense of the products and possibilities available to help you display, care for, and share your pictures. Knowing which ones you’re most drawn to will help me take the photographs you need to fit your vision and home décor.

Portrait session

This is the day you’ve been waiting for! When you arrive we’ll begin the day with a coffee and a chat. I’ll show you around the studio and go over the plan for the day. Afterwards, you’ll be pampered with professional hair and makeup… you can be as natural or glamorous as you like… it’s completely up to you! During your shoot, I’ll be capturing gently directed shots along with spontaneous, unguarded moments as they unfold. We want the real you—your energy and connection and personality to shine through—and we can’t get that with forced smiles or awkward poses. When I direct you, I’ll move you and shape you so you’ll look like a million bucks! The shooting portion of a portrait session usually lasts 1 to 2 hours; this gives us plenty of time to capture a full range of looks with no pressure. We’ll go through six or seven wardrobe changes so you can have a variety of looks to keep and share. The casual and relaxed tone of my shoots allows everyone to simply be themselves in front of the camera—that’s when the magic happens! This is going to be an amazing and fun experience! Order Session

1 to 2 weeks after your portrait session, you’ll return to my studio to view the very best images from your session edited to perfection. Using archival-grade photographic papers, I’ll hand print and mat your gorgeous images so they are perfect. You’re going to love them!

Your ordering session is our opportunity to go through your images together one-by-one to select your favorites. Then, we’ll decide which images are best for focus pieces like wall prints, and which will work best in albums and other products. What you purchase is entirely up to you… but you won’t make that decision until you’re back in my studio looking at them. My job is to take photographs of you that you’ll love, your job is to resist loving them! I offer a range of portrait collections designed to make ordering easy. Or, you can even create your own collection from an a la carte menu. The entire session will be designed around your needs so you get exactly what you want.

From your first step through my door to the last click of my shutter, not only will you vividly remember the experience, but your children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren will have beautiful images of you to treasure forever.
